Design in Partnership: Renata Oliveira


The following project proposes an annex to the iconic building of the University of Sao Paulo architecture school. As part of the competition’s brief, the building’s main purporse is to serve as an archive to the school.
The concept of time and dialogue drove the design. The FAU archive should have a mutual relationship with the actual school during time. That being said, the design is conceived to grow upwards as the architectural production increases. The building also pays homage to Joao Vilanova Artigas, the designer of the FAU building.
